You will find us at Skärplinge, in the North Roden district (Lat: N 60º28'16, Long: E17º45'36) where Vikings settled in a land newly risen out of the Baltic Sea more than a thousand years ago. Cattle and sheep grased the pastures and woods. The women came to master linen spinning, as the fibre was needed for both clothes and fishing nets, and wool for keeping warm - and beautiful! The wool was dyed in sometimes very bright colours. Ribbons, plaits and jewlry was artistically added to the garments. What an inspiration!!
The work-shop and boutique sits in the middle of the villige. Opening hours
are normally 12-17 weekdays, Saturday-Sunday closed. You are always welcome to ask for
visiting another time, just call for an arrangement! Phone +46 (0)294 21232,
